Violet Indigo Rush

About the Work

“Violet Indigo Rush” is anchored by a deep, atmospheric foundation of cobalt, violet, and bruised indigo, creating a sense of infinite, moody depth. Across this dark terrain is thick, gestural marks in rust and gold, topped by a singular, defiant drip of vibrant carnation pink that cuts through the shadows.  For me, this work is about finding a rhythmic 'pulse' when everything feels submerged in shadow. Through a combination of dense acrylic layering and raw, unedited mark-making this painting seems to glow from within.
