"Thundercloud Indigo and Ochre" is everything about a daytime thunderstorm. To me, this work translates the visceral power of a thunderstorm into a sophisticated Neo-Tachisme narrative. Built on a foundation of Thundercloud Indigo, it is defined by the percussive friction of Lightning Scumble marks tearing through a field of Static Ochre. Sudden, rhythmic bursts of Petal Flare introduce a human, somatic pulse to the wild weather theme, creating a composition that feels both ancient and immediate. This work utilizes a complex sub-surface history of washes and drips to capture the kinetic beauty of nature in a state of absolute, beautiful rupture.
